Description

This hand-painted Russian Foot Artillery Bombardier 54 mm miniature represents Bombardier No. 4 of the Russian Imperial Army during the Napoleonic Wars (1809–1814). In a gun crew, each artilleryman had a specific role. The No. 4 Bombardier was responsible for assisting with loading and servicing the gun, playing an essential part in maintaining the speed and efficiency of artillery fire.

The miniature accurately represents the uniform of the Russian Imperial Foot Artillery between 1809 and 1814, including the distinctive dark green artillery coat with red facings, white trousers, artillery shako, and period equipment.
